Prince Andrew’s New List of Demands Includes ‘Cook, Housekeeper, Gardener — and Even a Butler’

The disgraced Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is said to have a long list of requirements for his new residence after leaving Royal Lodge, according to royal experts. Reports suggest that the former prince has requested a cook, housekeeper, gardener, and even a butler to be part of his household staff once he relocates.

These demands come after his forced departure from the 30-room mansion in Windsor, where he lived for years with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. The move follows renewed scrutiny surrounding Andrew’s connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which led King Charles to strip him of his remaining royal titles and honours.

The 65-year-old is preparing to relocate to a residence on the private Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, with his new accommodation reportedly being privately funded by King Charles, according to palace sources.

However, The Daily Mail has claimed that Andrew is insisting on securing an “appropriate home and a rota of staff” — a household setup he believes befits “the son of a queen and the father of two princesses.”

A royal insider told The Daily Mail that although Andrew is expected to leave quietly to preserve dignity, he “has conditions and he isn’t prepared to give much ground on them.”

Alongside his requests for a cook, housekeeper, secretary-cum-butler, and gardeners, Andrew reportedly wants the freedom to move around the Sandringham estate rather than being restricted to his quarters. He is also said to prefer retaining his own staff or transferring existing royal employees to his service.

His eviction from Royal Lodge will also impact his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who has lived on the Windsor estate since 2004. While Buckingham Palace has not commented on her future, reports suggest she will make her own independent arrangements.

The latest claims come as Andrew faces renewed pressure from the United States, after receiving a formal request from the US Congress to provide information regarding his “long-standing friendship” with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is said to be investigating Epstein’s “sex trafficking operations”, citing “financial records such as ‘massage for Andrew’” as raising “serious questions.”

The late Virginia Giuffre, who passed away in April, had accused Andrew of sexually assaulting her after being introduced by Epstein—allegations Andrew has always vehemently denied.

This week, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was formally stripped of his title of prince via a rare Letters Patent, declaring that he “shall no longer be entitled to hold and enjoy the style, title or attribute of ‘Royal Highness’ and the titular dignity of ‘Prince.’”
