Completing her ensemble were a pair of pearl drop earrings — the late Princess Diana’s Collingwood Pearl Earrings — first gifted to Diana by the Collingwood jewellers in 1981 to mark her engagement to King Charles.

The annual ceremony, held in Whitehall, central London, serves as a solemn tribute to all those who gave their lives in service to their country during the First and Second World Wars, as well as in later conflicts.
The observance includes a two-minute silence, observed across the nation, and a wreath-laying ceremony led by King Charles at The Cenotaph — a poignant act of remembrance honouring the courage and sacrifice of generations past and present.
The Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, alongside senior politicians and representatives of various faiths, will join the royal family in honouring the Armistice of the First World War and all subsequent conflicts involving British and Commonwealth forces.
Around 10,000 members of the public are expected to line Whitehall to witness the solemn March Past and observe the two-minute silence.
Taking part in the procession will be approximately 10,000 veterans, representing more than 300 Armed Forces and civilian organisations — from bereaved children and military cadets to some of the few remaining veterans of the Second World War — in a powerful display of remembrance and unity.
Kate’s first Remembrance evеnt of 2025
On 8 November, Princess Kate attended the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall, joined by her 12-year-old son, Prince George.
The annual event — marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War Two — honours the service and sacrifice of military personnel from Britain and the Commonwealth.
For the occasion, the Princess of Wales wore a classic Alessandra Rich dress featuring a white Peter Pan collar, perfectly blending elegance with tradition as she joined other members of the royal family in remembrance.
Princess Kate completed her elegant look with the ‘Bayswater’ clutch by Mulberry and a pair of classic black pumps by Gianvito Rossi.
The highlight of her ensemble, however, was Queen Elizabeth II’s Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings — exquisite jewels dating back to 1947, when the late Queen received them as a wedding gift from the then-Hakim of Bahrain, Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The Princess of Wales, mother to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, was seen alongside the Duchess of Edinburgh wearing a black Catherine Walker coat dress. The timeless piece had been subtly reworked — the original fringing was removed and replaced with a delicate velvet bow, adding a refined touch to the classic silhouette.
Completing the look was a Juliette Botterill Millinery hat adorned with netting and floral detailing, perfectly balancing grace and solemnity for the poignant occasion.
