Prince Harry reaching out to King Charles in an attempt to reconcile and end the royal family feud

Prince Harry Ready to Reconcile With King Charles and Put Feud Behind Them

Prince Harry is expected to invite King Charles to officially open next year’s Invictus Games, in what appears to be an effort to mend their strained relationship. Since stepping back from royal duties, the Duke of Sussex’s ties with his family have weakened, though he has repeatedly expressed a wish to rebuild his bond with his father.

Reports now suggest that the 41-year-old may share the stage with the King at the 2027 Invictus Games, set to take place in Birmingham next July. Insiders claim that both Harry and his father are open to putting their long-running dispute behind them.

A source revealed that „Prince Harry is eager for Charles to attend the Invictus Games and hopes they will open the event together.

Harry hopes this will benefit both the Invictus Games and his relationship with his father. Having Charles beside him would mean everything to him.

Speaking further to The Sun, the source explained that the timing feels especially fitting, as Invictus will be returning to the UK for the first time since 2014, and Charles serves as Head of the Armed Forces.

They added that while Invictus traditionally extends invitations to Heads of State, Harry wants to take it a step further by having Charles play a role in the opening ceremony. The Games stand for a cause that is deeply meaningful to them both.

The insider also described the potential joint appearance at the Invictus Games as the ideal chance for father and son to work side by side once again.

Describing how the moment might resonate with royal supporters, the source added that seeing the two of them together on stage at the opening would be deeply moving and perfectly reflect the spirit of the event.

The Invictus Games, established by Harry in 2014, were inspired by the Warrior Games in the United States.

At this stage, it is unclear whether Meghan Markle and the couple’s children — six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet — would accompany Harry to the Games next year.
