Prince William and Princess Catherine have reportedly been left unsettled by Harry and Meghan’s return to the UK, with claims that the unexpected development has disrupted what was supposed to be a positive period for the Wales family.
According to a royal insider, William may now feel the need to remain particularly alert because he is uncertain about what his younger brother could do next.
“There’s a sense that William is going to have to be watching over his shoulder the whole time. He doesn’t know what his brother is going to spring on them all next,” the source claimed.
“This was meant to be a happy time for him. Catherine is doing well and George is just about to start Eton. This has just derailed them.”

The source also claimed that William is “concerned” about how quickly Harry and Meghan appear to have made the decision to return, and is determined that their arrival should not result in them being welcomed back into official royal duties.
They said: “Prince William is very concerned about the Sussexes coming back and why they have made the decision so quickly. He is adamant the situation must remain as it is and that Harry and Meghan will not carry out royal engagements.
“He has sought his father’s assurance there will be no changes to the present situation.”

The source further claimed that extensive talks have already taken place between William, Catherine and other senior members of the Royal Family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla.
According to the report, William also held a private conversation with his father “one on one” to discuss the Sussexes’ possible return. The Prince of Wales and the King are said to remain “on the same page” over the situation, with Harry and Meghan expected to continue living as private individuals rather than taking on any official royal responsibilities.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned from the United States last week and are now believed to be staying at a property in the Cotswolds, within relatively easy reach of London.

One of the reasons reportedly behind Harry and Meghan’s return to Britain is their wish to educate their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in the UK. The couple are believed to be considering enrolling both youngsters at a British school.
Meanwhile, Meghan could also be preparing to revive her acting career. Several reports have suggested that the Duchess of Sussex may be considering a role in Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen, with speculation growing that she could make an appearance in the series.
