Prince William appearing tense amid reports he’s upset with King Charles for reinstating Princess Eugenie and Beatrice

Prince William ‘Fuming’ as King Charles Allows Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice Back Into the Royal Spotlight

Prince William is said to be deeply frustrated with his father, King Charles, after the monarch reportedly welcomed Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie back into the royal fold just days after their father, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, was stripped of his titles and ordered to vacate Royal Lodge.

According to reports, King Charles personally approved Princess Beatrice’s appointment as Deputy Patron of the Outward Bound Trust and allowed her to carry out an official engagement at a hospital earlier this week — a move that reportedly “blindsided courtiers” and left the Prince of Wales fuming.

Sources suggest William views the timing of their renewed involvement as “highly inappropriate,” given the controversy still surrounding their father, and fears it could undermine the King’s efforts to slim down and modernise the monarchy.

Sources speaking to Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop revealed that the Prince of Wales is “strongly opposed” to Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie stepping back into the royal spotlight.

According to insiders, William believes “it’s too soon” for the sisters to resume public-facing roles, given the ongoing controversy surrounding their father, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. He reportedly views the move as “too risky” for the monarchy’s reputation, especially as the royal family continues to rebuild public trust under King Charles’s reign.

The source added that William is keen to maintain a “streamlined, scandal-free monarchy” — and fears that bringing Beatrice and Eugenie forward now could reopen old wounds at a time when stability is crucial.

An insider told #ShuterScoop that tensions between father and son have quietly escalated over how to handle the York sisters’ return to public life.

“William wanted the Yorks out of sight until after the King’s next health review,” the source revealed. “But His Majesty insisted — he thinks the family needs to heal in public.”

Another aide described the Prince of Wales’s stance as “pragmatic rather than personal,” saying, “William’s pragmatic. He knows the Yorks are poison with the public. His father just won’t see it.”

The latest development follows earlier speculation that William had allegedly threatened to strip Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie of their titles if they failed to persuade their father to vacate the Royal Lodge. However, a source speaking to Page Six dismissed those rumours outright, saying, “I have never heard such nonsense. Anyone who knows William knows he is not that venomous and is fond of his cousins.”

  1. I am very much a Royalist but in this instance I do not see why Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s sins should impact on to his daughters, they are innicent in this and very loyal to the family, and I believe work very hard.
